Is Salehoo Safe to Buy From?

Salehoo is a popular website, and there are many Salehoo reviews from happy customers – but there are some negative reviews too, and there are those who just claim it's a 'scam'.  So, that's the truth – is Salehoo safe to buy from or not?

What is Salehoo?

Salehoo is a directory of certified manufacturers, wholesalers and drop shippers based around the world – it's not a wholesaler itself.  Certification involves someone from Salehoo verifying every wholesaler that applies to be listed is a real business and that their products are of good quality – that's one factor that makes Salehoo safer to buy from than many sources of wholesaler goods.

There are about 8,000 suppliers in Salehoo, and from these around 2.5 million products are available to buy at wholesale prices.

Is Salehoo safe?

Salehoo is a tool that many eBay sellers and e-commerce store owners use to find reliable and trustworthy wholesalers.

It's one of the safest places to find goods at trade prices online, along with alternatives like Worldwide Brands and Doba.

There are two key safety features that Salehoo has:

1. Certification of all suppliers

2. A guarantee that all suppliers are reliable and safe to deal with

These features make Salehoo a good place to find reliable wholesalers and drop shippers – but beware, not all of the 'wholesale' prices in this directory are cheap enough to make a profit re-selling on sites like eBay or Amazon.

How Much Cheaper is Salehoo than Worldwide Brands?

This is another 'salehoo vs worldwidebrands' post, but this time I want to focus on a very specific issue – the price difference between the two directories of wholesalers and dropshippers, as that's one of the key factors to take into account when choosing which one to join.

Both Salehoo and Worldwide Brands are directories of about 8,000 suppliers, all of which have been checked and certified as legitimate before being added to their databases.  Although they both list a similar number of wholesalers and dropshippers, while Salehoo has about 1.6 million products in their database from those suppliers, Worldwide Brands lists over 15 million products as of 2017 – nearly ten times the number of Salehoo, or any other competitor.

Salehoo costs $67 per year to be a member, and there are some additional fees for other add on products as well, but for access to the directory of suppliers it's only $67 per year.

Worldwide Brands usually costs $299 for lifetime membership, but often there are discounts available – and occasionally the price is reduced down to $269 or even $249.  This initially is much more expensive than Salehoo, but the fee for Worldwide Brands is for unlimited lifetime membership – and after about 5 years works out as the cheapest option.

Taking into account as well the number of products Worldwide Brands lists compared to Salehoo, per product it is much, much cheaper to join Worldwide Brands.
